The instructor's use of film examples to illustrate key concepts was engaging and effective. I gained practical knowledge on how to use cinema as a tool for building empathy and understanding in my clients. The course materials were top-notch, and I appreciated the diversity of films and theories covered. I've already started incorporating these methods into my practice, and the results have been astounding. I took the Cinema-Based Counseling Methods course at Stanmore School of Business, and it was a great experience. The course content was really interesting, and I liked how the instructor used a lot of examples from Brazilian films to illustrate the concepts. I gained some useful skills, like how to use movie clips to help clients open up about their feelings. The course materials were pretty good, but sometimes I felt like they were a bit too focused on theory. Still, I learned a lot, and I'm glad I took the course. One thing that was really cool was the discussion forum - I got to talk to other students from all over the world and share our thoughts on the films and techniques we were learning about.

I recently completed the Cinema-Based Counseling Methods course at Stanmore School of Business, and I must say it was a thoroughly enjoyable and enriching experience. As a Danish counselor, I appreciated the course's focus on the therapeutic potential of film. The instructor's lectures were clear and concise, and the accompanying readings were thought-provoking and well-chosen. I particularly appreciated the emphasis on cultural sensitivity and the ways in which cinema can be used to promote social justice. One area for improvement might be the inclusion of more Nordic film examples, but overall, I was very satisfied with the course. The discussion forums were also a highlight - it was great to engage with fellow students from diverse backgrounds and share our perspectives on the course material.
